$10,000 Grant from the Roslyn Savings Foundation benefits Long Island Chapter’s Respite Program.

The Long Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society received a donation of $10,000 from the Roslyn Savings Foundation.  The funds are restricted to the Respite Care Program.  The program is designed to keep families in tact by giving care-givers much needed time off to conduct business, run errands for the household or to enjoy some private time to rejuvenate.

The Importance of Early Treatment
The FDA has approved several treatments that may alter the underlying disease course of MS, and early treatment is important. People should consult with their doctors about using one of these FDA-approved medications and other effective treatments for the symptoms of MS.
